General NDIS Information for Parents

Navigating the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) can feel overwhelming, particularly when you're trying to understand whether your child is eligible and what support may be available. Learning about the NDIS early can help families access services that support a child's development, independence and participation in everyday life. The resource below explains how the NDIS supports children, what to expect during the application process and where to find further guidance.

This official NDIS guide explains how children under the age of nine may be supported through the NDIS and the Early Childhood Approach. It outlines eligibility, the application process and the types of supports that may be available to help children build skills, participate in daily activities and achieve their developmental goals. The guide also explains how families can access information and services, even if a child does not require an NDIS plan.

NOTE - The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) continues to undergo significant changes. I will continue to work within the current framework and keep families informed of relevant updates as they emerge.
